Our Mission
Jim Hasher
Jim Hasher, born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, resides and works in the Torresdale neighborhood. He, along with his dear wife Stacie, raised 5 boys in the house he still lives in today.

Jim has succeeded professionally in numerous areas of work. He is the Owner and President of Hasher Realty, Inc. providing consistent, full-service real estate expertise in the Philadelphia area. He was also CEO of RE/MAX Metropolitan, Inc., Senior Vice President of Platinum Abstract, and Owner/Operator of Pro-Tec Restoration, Inc. Most recently, Jim has ventured into the service industry as the Owner/Operator of Jimmy’s Timeout Sports Pub. In a decade of business, he transformed a small dive bar into a celebrated and successful neighborhood restaurant.

Jim’s contributions outside of his professional success is where his work truly makes an impact in his community. Jim served as the President of Torresdale Boys Club, which is one of the oldest and largest youth clubs in the city, and has volunteered in that position and as Athletic Director for 25 years. Jim also founded the Northeast Sting, a prominent AAU basketball program that served thousands of boys of all ages and gave them the unique opportunity to play and grow with kids from all around our city and surrounding areas. Jim continues to volunteer as a coach at both Torresdale and St. Katherine of Siena, his home Catholic Church where he also celebrates Mass weekly.

Jim is well-versed in the needs of our communities as a citizen, but also holds unique experience in public office. He was appointed Chief Deputy in Charge of Community Affairs for the PA Athletic Commission from ‘95-‘99. He served as the 65th Ward Leader elected in 1998. He also ran for United Sates Congress as a candidate in the 3rd Congressional District in 1994. More recently, Jim led a victorious City Council campaign in 2004. Additionally, Jim is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, The Irish Society, Philadelphia’s Board of Realtors, and the Veteran’s Boxers Association.
